St. Patrick's Day Parade in Lexington
Nothing is more fun than a parade in a small town! And the Saint Patrick's Day parade in Lexington is special. Started less than a decade ago, this parade seems to specialize in odd folk. Which figures, this is Lexington!
The position of Grand Marshal is always filled by someone of whom the town is especially proud. This year, Lexington's veterans were honored!
A staple of every parade -- the Girl Scouts! No cookies, but they're in green!
It's not green, it doesn't have an Irish name... What's it doing here? Well, it's fun, that's what!
The thought hadn't occurred to us before, but of course McDonald's is an Irish name! Right?
The requirements for being in this parade aren't hard to meet -- a French Poodle, painted green (temporarily we hope!) will qualify. And the other one must have some Irish Setter in her -- her name is Trudy O'Tulle!!!
And the presence of the young O'Bears means that this parade will be around for many more years, we hope!
