This is the block that held Mattingly's and Maib's Victory Cafe. Lots of stuff for sale, and lots of folks. Reminds us a little of the "good old days", when Main was full of shoppers.
On 11th Street, south of Main, there were lots of activies for the kiddies. One of the most popular is shown here -- decorating pumpkins!
In front of the Courthouse, the Friends of Anderson House were making and giving away fresh cider.
And, up the street, across from Block 42, a blacksmith was hard at work. Seems to us that within our memory, there was a smithy over on Franklin Ave., on the corner of the block now occupied by the Cannonball 6 Theater.
