Subject: The Lexington Connection

To those of you who don't remember me, allow me to introduce myself. (To those of you who do remember me, do NOT hit the delete button.) I am Susan Shea Worthington, formerly of Lexington, now of Lexington; former friend of Shirley Briggle Miller.

If you are receiving this, then you must know Shirley, and you must be aware of her prodigious persuasive powers. Some weeks ago Shirley decided we need a Lexington Connection to disseminate news of the old hometown. In a screwier election than the one that took place in Florida, I "won." And this despite the fact that I am always the last to know anything.

And so I have been charged with sending out anything of general interest that occurs in Lexington to anyone who would like to be kept informed. I have composed an address book for TLC members, so send names of anyone who should be added. Or dropped.

We will call this the introductory issue. Issue #1 will appear this weekend, or whenever I get around to it. That will be the way this works. When there is news, and when I get around to writing it, you will receive a numbered issue.

Please remember that you - every one of you - are reporters. Send news to me directly or relay it through someone else, but please send news.

If you would like to be removed from the mailing list, send an email to:

Until Issue #1 I remain,

Your devoted scribe,

Susan
